Joint Commission International (JCI) Preparation

Our Aim:

We help our clients identify the problems and the weakness in their system and make practical suggestions. the focus is on issues that contribute to quality (performance) improvement and patient safety, according to JCI standards.

The Strategies:

Use the previously successful experiences domestically and internationally, along with the great understanding and facilitating of both the Chinese and US health systems, we provide unique strategies to ensure the success of the accreditation.

The Plan:

  • Term: 12-24 months preparation time
  • Client: Any hospital or clinic regardless the size or condition that is willing to conduct a higher level of patient care and quality of services according to the JCI standards

 

The Services:

Experienced JCI Accreditation physician, nurse and administrator consultants will provide consultation services to our clients. These services include but not limited as:

  • Standard and custom education programs presented to key organization - management and medical staff regarding the JCI Accreditation Standards, the Measurable Elements used in scoring and the survey process itself
  • The education programs include: applying the standards to the client¡¯s culture, the medical consultant¡¯s role in a successful accreditation, preparing the organization for an accreditation survey, the Measurable Elements and how they are scored and the survey process and how to excel in it, et al.
  • A baseline evaluation (gap analysis) of the hospital organization, include review of critical documents, visit the care settings (clinical departments and patient units), practice interview sessions with appropriate leaders and staff and report of findings with practical suggestions for correcting deficiencies
  • Assistance in development and implementation of an Action Plan that will lead to accreditation success.
  • Periodic, on-site support, coaching and interim assessments and progress adjustments.
  • Support on-site during and following the evaluation by the JCI accreditation team, if necessary.

The goal for the above services is to maintain continuous survey readiness and standards compliance. It also includes support with emerging issues, such as medical errors and patient safety and changes in standards or the survey process.
